The Design of In Transit
How would you describe the collection in a few words?
Wearable, comfortable, and classic with a twist.
Could you tell us more about the inspiration behind this collection?
The main inspiration was “In transit”, defining the period before we were able to travel, explore and go to exhibitions again. We as creatives had to find new sources of inspiration in an era of lockdowns and travel restrictions. The answer was to explore the world through the eyes of foreign friends and family while waiting for the possibility to travel ourselves. This led to the creation of the collection’s three print stories.
The first story is traditional with a twist and is a Toile de Jouy of sculptures from museums and art galleries around the world. This is an old way of making prints, which for us was a new way of using references in a time when we could not visit the museums ourselves.

Then we have our print with emotions story, which includes an x-ray image capturing items of our last traveling bags. This print is a memoir of travels.
The third print story, Tourist, is a tribute to nature, especially the Norwegian nature we re-discovered. With this print, we want to share inspiration with Norwegian postcards back to the foreign people that inspired us in this period. For this print, we were able to dive into the archives of a heritage postcard company and add our Holzweiler touch on the favourites.
What are your personal favourites from the collection?
The light down, including shorts, vests and jackets is a definite favourite. These items are perfect for the changing season and layering. Another favourite is the collection’s outerwear, both our rubber boots and technical jackets. For example, the Homeaway Parka is designed in a way that will ensure protection from all weather conditions, while being both flattering and stylish.
Another favourite are the dresses, especially the Wander Dress, perfect for vacation, weddings or any special occasion. PS: This dress arrives in two new colours with the upcoming collection.
Also, I have to mention the wide hats, which are in our opinion the perfect statement piece for each look, Maria says.
For Duy, a favourite and spring staple is knitwear, such as the Rodin Zip Cardigan and Chamen Zip Polo.

How to style the mentioned favourites?
One of the main purposes when the team designed this collection, was to create a collection that can easily be styled independent of category and gender, and both for colder and hotter summer days. With that being said, the collection is easy to layer. Some examples are to layer the light-down vests under the shell jackets and the shorts with heavy outerwear. Not to mention that knitwear is the easiest garment to layer, and is essential for chilly Scandinavian summer nights.

Pastel and neutral colours that are both fresh and clear. Technical outerwear meets summer. Classic silhouettes with a twist.
