Temperature Effective
Our technical down jackets are temperature effective to -15 Celsius. The Sol and Skogshorn styles feature down effective to -10 Celsius.
Responsibly Sourced Down
We ensure our jackets are filled with 80% duck down and 20% feather. Certified down is used to ensure animal welfare, which guarantees that the animals are not exposed to pain, injury, fear or distress.
Storm/Rain Protection
Our water coating process guarantees waterproofing for water pressure up to 10.000mm.
Please note: our Sol and Skogshorn styles do not have this feature.
Mechanical Stretch
Primed for comfort and freedom of movement, our down jackets are made from elevated fabrics infused with stretch properties.
Water Resistance
Offering a reduced level of protection from the rain and snow than our waterproofed styles, our water-resistant down jackets are still perfect for the frequently shifting Scandinavian weather.
The Technology
Our range of technical jackets includes women’s styles such as the Besseggen and Loen, and men’s silhouettes the Dovre and Lom. These jackets feature heat-sealed tunnels – the most durable way to divide the down. Laminated with a hydrophilic membrane coating that prevents down leakage, the jackets are water repellent. Infused with a mechanical stretch, the styles are functional and perfect for daily use.
Sustainability
Holzweiler uses certified down to ensure animal welfare from farm to supplier. The certificate guarantees that the animals are raised free from hunger, thirst, pain, injury, fear and distress. We take care to ensure they are not being overfed, and that feathers are not picked from living birds.
We also use recycled materials such as shell fabric and lining, which enables waste to be reused. To minimise emissions, our jackets are transported by sea freight.
