Holzweiler SS22 Show - In Transit

During this very special period, we have realized how important it is for us as creatives, to be able to travel, move around and explore small and bigger things away from home. Normally we go to museums, exhibitions, we travel and we are constantly in motion. We are used to meeting people and get input of inspiration from all around.

With the lockdown, we lost this opportunity of inspiration, and we had to find new ways. The answer has been to explore the world through the eyes and handwriting of foreign friends and family while waiting for the possibility to travel ourselves.

The Holzweiler SS22 show took place in Oslobukta's contemporary landscape. The urban fashion runway is moving through the neighborhood of a new part of our hometown, Oslo. As the models move through the urban area, they end up connecting at the heart of Oslobukta. We wanted to show people one of our other favorite places along the Oslo Fjord - another place that is just as important to us as the Holzweiler Studio, namely the Holzweiler Platz.

With the SS22 collection, craftmanship has been taken seriously although approaching it with a playful attitude. Crochet, summer knits, technical fabrics, transparent details, and no real design consideration for categories such as women's- or men's wear, are eminent throughout the collection. The collection celebrates slow living, comfortable cool clothes, and dressing up occasionally. Just as we like it; fashion that supports our way of life.

Our hope for SS22, is that we will eventually face a new world after the pandemic. A world with optimism, adventure, and liberation.

In the meantime, we are in transit.
