Holzweiler x Caviar Kaspia x Bjarne Melgaard

Aligned with our commitment to shining a light on the creative industry in Norway, we’re collaborating with one of its brightest stars - Bjarne Melgaard. The artist and provocateur brings his signature illustrations to a capsule of outerwear, jersey and accessories. As part of Paris Fashion Week, it debuted at restaurant Caviar Kaspia - one of the city’s most iconic names and whose owners have a long history with Holzweiler; their restaurant is our home away from home.

The Characters

Straight from the imagination of Bjarne Melgaard, get to know Mr Caviar, Mrs Caviar and their pet dog, too - the characters that bring life to this capsule collection and are seen across all its designs.

Bjarne Melgaard

A creative visionary native to Norway, a collaboration with Bjarne Melgaard has been in the works since Holzweiler’s inception. In the year of our tenth anniversary the timing couldn’t feel more appropriate, and here Melgaard’s illustrations are seen across this 18-piece, one-of-a-kind capsule that debuted at Caviar Kaspia as part of Paris Fashion Week. Globally recognised for his exploration of extremes, Melgaard’s work pushes boundaries - always with a playful approach.

Caviar Kaspia

We’ve been regular guests at Caviar Kaspia over the years, hosting friends and families in its iconic dining room anytime we’re in Paris. More than just a restaurant, Caviar Kaspia has become essential to the city’s Fashion Week, as the New York Times puts it: ‘where Caviar Kaspia goes, fashion follows.’ Anoushka Gresvig Mac-Crohon, a Kaspia co-founder, is a fellow Norwegian who’s made the restaurant feel like a home away from home for us. What better place, then, for us to commemorate the launch of our collaboration with Bjarne Melgaard, one of the most prominent figures in the Norwegian art scene? Not only is Caviar Kaspia our host, it’s also shaped the aesthetic of the capsule. You’ll see Kaspia motifs across its pieces, including its signature teal-blue colourway.
