After being in business for more than 6 years, the Holzweiler multibrand store at Fornebu has been undergoing a complete renovation by architects Snøhetta.
In the new design there has been brought to life both some of the old furniture, carpets from left-over fabrics as well as new bespoke interior. And even though the overall look and feel is complete new there has still been maintained the core of the Holzweiler multibarand store identity that has been created during the past 6 years.
As the space has been expanded from 320m2 to 450m2, the store has added a lifestyle section and thereby also expanding the brand portfolio making it into a destination shop for both fashion and lifestyle.
Andreas Holzweiler about the renovated store:
"Our multi-store is located in Fornebu. This area used to be where the old airport were, situated right outside of Oslo. Fornebu/Snarøya is known for its striking houses that have private access to the Oslo Fjord and it's known for being quite suburban/urban. The area will soon be connected with a metro connection in 2022 from Oslo C and with it's nature and landscape it's a great expansion of Oslo.
With the store located in this great area, we wanted to create a space where fashion, art, furniture and care meet. It's all about creating zones for the different universes but yet again we want them to harmonize well together. Now, it is also a space where we can create new artistic vibes depending on the season and collaborations, a flexibility the old store did not provide."
