Temperature Effective
Our technical down jackets are temperature effective down to -15 Celsius, while Sol and Skogshorn down to -10 Celsius.

Responsibly Sourced Down
Our jackets are filled with 80% duck down and 20% feather. We use certified down to ensure animal welfare, which guarantees that the animals are not exposed to pain, injury, fear or distress.

Storm/Rain Protection
Our technical down jackets have a water coating that guarantees waterproofness with water pressure up to 10.000mm. Sol and Skogshorn does not have this feature.

Mechanical Stretch
Our down jackets are made in fabrics that have stretch properties, which enables comfort and freedom to move.

Water Resistance
Our technical down jackets are resistant to water, meaning that they are not waterproof, but made to resist the frequently shifting Scandinavian weather.

The Technology
The women’s jackets Besseggen and Loen, like men’s jackets Dovre and Lom, are our range of technical jackets. These jackets have heat-sealed tunnels as the best possible and durable way to divide the down. Further, they are laminated with a hydrophilic membrane, a coating that makes the jackets water repellent and prevents down leakage. The mechanical stretch makes the jackets functional and comfortable throughout daily activities.
Sustainability
Holzweiler uses certified down to ensure animal welfare from farm to supplier. The certificate guarantees that the animals are raised free from hunger and thirst, pain and injury, fear and distress, not being over-fed, and that feathers are not picked from living birds. We also use recycled materials as shell fabric and lining, which enables waste to be reused. To generate the least possible number of emissions, our jackets are shipped by boat.
