Lambswool
The Story

An integral part of our heritage, lambswool scarves are a signature Holzweiler piece. Developed almost a decade ago when Andreas Holzweiler travelled to Florence, Italy to meet with Tiziano and his company Tessilechiti, our scarves are made via a shared passion for exceptional craftsmanship and design, alongside sustainable manufacturing.

With a reputation for following traditional carding techniques, Tessilechiti's production process is based on old traditions from Prato – a mechanical recycling technique that uses raw materials from vintage knitwear to create new pieces. During the dying process, a brushing machine is used to shrink the fibres, giving each scarf a human touch.

The first scarf we introduced to the market was our Tableau "I am possible", followed by Fresia Check. Since then, all our lambswool scarves are made in Italy by Tessilechiti. The scarves are made in recycled wool and come in 100% biodegradable packaging. The assortment is growing, and the following guide will take you through each scarf and the quality of the collection.
The Guide
BAMBINO
Our Bambino scarves are made from a soft wool and baby alpaca blend. This style is a hybrid of Dipper and Ibisco, resulting in a multi-textured style. The Bambino scarves come in two different patterns, Bambino Check and Bambino Stripe. The Bambino Check is made in a Tableau technique – double woven which enables different mirrored patterns on each side. The Bambino Stripe has a monotonous striped pattern on each side of the scarf. The scarves are medium-sized (45x210cm).
Bambino Stripe: 64% Wool, 13% Mohair, 13% Alpaca, 10% Polyamide.

IBISCO
The Ibisco is made in a woven check pattern from a super soft alpaca blend, through Boucle yarn. The Ibisco quality is equal to the Aster scarf , but exudes a lighter quality due to the single weave design, The scarves are medium-sized (45x210cm).
80% Alpaca, 20% Polyamide

ASTER
The Aster shares construction traits with the Ibisco - a super soft alpaca blend from Boucle yarn. The Aster features a narrower yet double thick design, making it one of our thickest styles due to the double weaving. The Aster scarves come in three different designs, Aster Check, Aster Solid, and Aster Stripe. Aster Check is woven in a check pattern, and Aster Solid is dyed in a solid special Pantone dye. The scarves are small-sized (26x210cm).
